We are so happy to be named top winner of the Rhode Island Business Plan Competition 2015!! We received $66,200 in prizes – $15,000 in cash and $26,200 in professional and consulting services as the Entrepreneur Track winner, plus a $25,000 bonus cash award at the Garage Event at the Rhode Island Convention Center yesterday evening. Our CEO presenting HMSolution at the WaterVent Conference 2015 in New York to a crowd of 300 people, including investors, entrepreneurs and EPA authorities from the water industry. Also, Sally Gutiérrez, Environmental Technology Innovation Cluster Development and Support Program Director from the EPA, talked about the new opportunities for disruptive water technologies.
Seven finalists have been chosen in the 2015 Rhode Island Business Plan Competition, and will share $200,000 in prizes when winners are announced next month. HMSolution is 1 of the 3 finalists in the Entrepreneur Track!
The finalists have proposed businesses that address problems in the consumer, environmental, health care, information technology, and software industries.
All finalists will briefly present their business idea at an Awards Ceremony, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at The Garage, a half-day business development conference at the Rhode Island Convention Center, to which the public is invited, after which the winners will be announced. Residents are told to avoid drinking it, using it to cook and wash dishes with and even bathe in. In the short term, families are forced to buy bottled water or fill up atwater stations like Watermill Express.
The Rhode Island Business Plan Competition today announced that it has named 13 semi-finalists in the 2015 competition from among 82 emerging and would-be entrepreneurs.
The competition will name winners and award prizes valued at $200,000 to all finalists and winners on May 12 at The Garage, a half-day business development conference hosted at the Rhode Island Convention Center by the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.
